Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: [EFFECTIVE DATE]

Draft. This policy is not in effect yet and still needs a review before launch.

Every customer shares the same servers and network, so one bad site can hurt everyone. This policy applies to everything hosted with Jump Gate Networks and is part of our Terms of Service.

Not allowed

  • Anything illegal where you or your users are, or in the United States.
  • Child sexual abuse material. We report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children and remove it immediately.
  • Malware, phishing pages, or sites made to look like another company or person.
  • Content that infringes copyright or trademarks, after a valid notice.
  • Harassment, threats, or content that promotes violence against people.
  • Unsolicited bulk email, or sending email from our servers directly.
  • Cryptocurrency mining.
  • Open proxies, VPN exit nodes, or anonymizing relays for other people's traffic.
  • Scanning, probing or attacking other networks, including denial-of-service tools.
  • Trying to get around the limits on your container, or to reach other customers or our internal network.

Fair use of resources

Each app runs with CPU, memory and storage limits that match your plan. If your site needs more, or you expect a big traffic spike, tell us first and we'll size it properly.

Email from your app

Send transactional email (sign-ups, receipts, password resets) through an email provider such as Resend or Postmark using your own account. Our servers don't send email for customer apps.

Security testing

Testing your own app is fine. Before a load test or a broad security scan, tell us, so our monitoring doesn't treat it as an attack.

What happens if the rules are broken

  • For most problems, we email you, explain the issue, and give you a reasonable time to fix it.
  • For serious problems (malware, phishing, attacks, abuse material, or anything putting other customers at risk) we suspend the site right away and tell you why, unless the law prevents us.
  • Repeated or serious violations can end the service, as described in the Terms.

Reporting abuse

Email support@jumpgatenetworks.com with "Abuse" in the subject line. Include the URL and what you saw. We read every report.
