About Jump Gate Networks
Jump Gate Networks is an independent hosting service based in Ohio. We run websites, web apps and databases for small businesses, student projects and independent developers.
Why we started
Small sites usually end up on one of two kinds of host. One is a big platform where support is a help center and a forum. The other is a cheap shared host where nobody can tell you why your site was slow last Tuesday.
We wanted a host in between. You see the same uptime, deploys and backups we see. When something breaks, the person who answers your ticket is the person who runs your servers.

Where your site runs
On our own servers in Ohio. Visitors reach them through Cloudflare's network, which handles HTTPS and absorbs attacks, so our servers accept no direct connections from the internet.
Every app runs in its own container. Databases are backed up every 15 minutes, encrypted, and copied off-site. The details are in our security overview and our Data Processing Addendum.
The name
In space games, a jump gate is the doorway between star systems. That's the job here: get your project from a repo to the open internet, and keep the route open.
